My Music : Puppies & Sweets (3:59)

4 April, 2006

Listen to MP3

A collaborative work, disturbing in so many ways.  The "puppies" vocal is provided by G-Dog, other vocals and professional touches, by Elias Cameron.  I do not endorse the dog's obvious obsession with puppies and sweets. (c) 2006 AGL

Use me! (please?)

4 April, 2006

Whatever you want to call it, I'm going to get it said. It's my intention to promote this weblog, or more specifically the creative content. My reasons for doing this are several fold. (1) to simply put things 'out there', and (2) (the reason for this post) in the wishful hope that one day, in some even tiny way my creative efforts may find themselves put to some even remotely commercial use.

If you, or anybody you know may be able to use a picture, or some aspect of my music for any commercial reason whatsoever, I would be thrilled, ney, honoured to hear your thoughts. It is not a financial reward I seek, but merely the excitement of having some creative output of mine made into something.

If you have any questions, ideas or anything to say on the subject at all, please don't hesitate to let me know.

My Music : Hardcopy (3:34)

Oldskool Hardcore. Written a few years ago in Cubase VST/32. This is my heavily borrowed from sample-fest of oldskool flavour. The church rant is from a documentary about the war on drugs which was narrated by Woody Harrelson. Messy, cheesy, but somewhat authentic. Callin' the Hardcore! (c) 2006 AGL

My Music : Roundtrip (4:27)

Trip-Hop, Reason 2.5. Wrote this wacky number today. Imagine being drugged at the fairground. Breaks most musical rules I think, including some questionable notes. Albeit discombobulating, it's something different to get your lug holes round. It's actually 180bpm in half-time as it was meant to break into a drum & bass feel at some point, but it didn't work. Remains a 90bpm trippy number. Comments welcomed as always! (c) 2006 AGL

Chilled/Trip-Hop, Reason 2.0. I downloaded the speech samples – they are from some convention on nuclear weapons. I didn't mean to leave the listener feeling good about America, quite the opposite, but that's in the ear of the listener. Innit. (c) 2006 AGL

Kind of chilled again.  This time an older work done in Cubase VST32.  It's a bit crusty around the edges, but then so am I.  Take the time to listen to it in it's entirity before making a judgment. (c) 2006 AGL

Chilled out work again, but with a slightly beaty flavour.  As with most of these on-line examples, completely produced in Reason 2.0.  I quite like this one, what do you make of it? (c) 2006 AGL

Another Chilled work. Some call it more trip-hop than chill-out, I don't know. I've never been a major genre geek. Fair to say, it's different. Not offensive, perhaps even likeable. What do you think? Honest commentary is always as welcome as is your time to listen appreciated. (c) 2006 AGL

My Music : Salvasser Parts 1 & 2 (7:07)

Listen to MP3

This is a peaceful ambient/chilled piece. Initially two seperate parts, I lashed them together to create an extended play chiller. Made using Reason 2.0 exclusively. (c) 2006 AGL
